College Prep at DCET

 

College preparatory is a program at DCET that prepares students for college. Every high school should prepare students for college, sometimes this does not happen. All schools should adopt a college preparatory program.  We at DCET assist interns for college and careers.  Our Internship program is  win/win situation where students and DCET have mutual benefits.  

Criteria to apply for a DCET Platon Lerma Scholarship

Eligibility & Selection Criteria:
Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors from High School in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.

  • A good standing student

  • A U.S. citizens or documented legal residents of the United States.

  • Selection criteria includes:

  • aspirations and ideals as expressed in an essay, school

  • Community participation

  • Demonstrated leadership potential

  • Financial need as determined by the committee.

  • 100 hours of Community Volunteer Hours at DCET.

Jr. and High School Senior students come to DCET to earn their 100 community volunteer hours and help us educate senior citizens.  A great combination and win/win relationship!
